    December 3, 2021  5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Parkway Church on the Mountain, 3645 Orange Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24012, USA

We are partnering with Friendship House to offer training for those who want to welcome refugees to Roanoke through Good Neighbor Teams. After enjoying an Afghan meal together, we will discuss the refugee process, Islam and Muslim cultures, mercy ministry, empowerment opportunities, and true friendship. This training is required for anyone who wants to participate in a Good Neighbor Team, but anyone interested in learning more is welcome to join us!

    Childcare will be provided.

Dinner will be served. There is no charge, but donations are accepted to help offset the costs of food and training material. ($10 suggested donation.) Donations may be brought to the event (check payable to Friendship House or cash) or through Paypal, Venmo, or Cashapp at https://friendshiphouseroanoke.org/donate/
